The bizarre video shows four suspects pushing the police van after it ran out of fuel while they were being transported to court.

Smartphone footage recorded in the middle of a road in the city of Bhagalpur in Bihar, India, showed the four suspects pushing the white Mahindra Scorpio on February 3.

They were reportedly urged to do so by cops, after the vehicle ran out of petrol nearly 500 meters (0.31 miles) before reaching the court with them in the back.

Meanwhile, a police officer walking next to them can be seen holding a rope that he used to tie them with.

The four individuals were allegedly being transported to their court hearing, where they were facing charges of consuming alcohol, which is strictly prohibited in Bihar among other Indian regions.
