Armed police cleared snow and ice to free stranded motorists on a highway in central China.

The video was filmed in the city of Jingzhou in Hubei Province on February 5.

In the wake of sustained heavy snowfall, parts of the expressways in the city have been blanketed with extensive snow and ice.

Promptly responding to the situation, a detachment of the Second Mobile Contingent of the People's Armed Police Force (PAP) swiftly initiated emergency measures, mobilizing over 70 officers and soldiers along with more than 20 large-scale engineering vehicles to assist the affected areas.

Armed police personnel utilized bulldozers, loaders, and other heavy machinery to tackle the snow and ice buildup along two sections of the Erenhot–Guangzhou Expressway, including the Jingzhou section of the Yangtze River Bridge and the Jingzhou to Jingmen section.

As of February 6, they have successfully cleared a stretch of 17 kilometres, removing over 24,480 cubic metres of snow and ice, and facilitating the evacuation of over 300 vehicles.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
