Cooks and coordinators of community canteens belonging to various social organisations will hold this Wednesday a "national day of protest" called "Cooks against hunger", in demand for food assistance for canteens and picnic areas in different parts of the country.
The action began at 10 with a rally in front of the building of the former Ministry of Social Development, located at the intersection of the avenues Belgrano and 9 de Julio, and in all the delegations of the country, where the Minister of Human Capital will be asked for food, Sandra Pettovello reported in a statement.
"The cooks are going to a new national day of struggle to demand food from the soup kitchens and picnic areas," the organising organizations explained.
Among them are the National Territorial Federation (FeNaT-CTAA), Libre del Sur, the Argentine Rebel Movement, the Dario Santillan Popular Front (FPDS), the Coordinator for Social Change, the Front of Organizations in Struggle (FOL); the FPDS-Plurinational Current, and the Movement for Latin American Unity and Social Change (MULCS).
