Driver arrested for barging onto closed beach in Florida
A man was arrested for driving his truck through a closed gate and entering the New Smyrna Beach in Florida on Tuesday morning.
The reckless act was captured on video by witnesses, leading to the man facing charges for violating Volusia County Ordinance 20-174 and subsequent arrest.
The incident unfolded early this morning when the man, identified as Jason Brzuszkiewicz, bypassed warning signs and barriers to access the restricted section of the beach.
Footage shows the man's truck as it drove straight into the ocean, defying all safety regulations.
Police arrived on the scene and arrested Brzuszkiewicz for failure to pay the vehicular access fee, as stipulated by county regulations.
Following his arrest, Brzuszkiewicz was transported to the Volusia County Branch Jail, where he was held on a $200 bond.
Local authorities have issued a reminder to the community about the importance of respecting designated areas and following all regulations to prevent such dangerous incidents.
