SOUNDBITE (Arabic): MOHAMED ARKAB, Algerian Minister of Energy and Mines
"We are working on an experimental project in Sonatrach platform in the port of Arzew, encompassing the entire hydrogen production value chain.
It will be followed by a number of other projects to produce and market hydrogen to Europe, including 'SoutH2 Corridor' which is still under study between Germany, Austria, Italy, Tunisia, and Algeria.
Additionally, we are exploring the possibility of establishing a direct corridor to export hydrogen to Europe."

Arkab and Habeck also oversaw the signing of a commercial contract between Algeria's energy group Sonatrach and Germany's VNG for the supply of natural gas from Algeria to Germany.
