"(It's) fantastic to be able to launch Lunar New Year 2024 here in Dickson. I wish everyone a happy, healthy and prosperous Year of the Wood Dragon."

Event manager of the street festival Charlie Wan said this year's event is planned to be bigger than last year's.

"Tomorrow we are opening the street for a vibrant and colorful street festival to celebrate the New Year. We are coming off the back of an amazing year last year, where we're returning to the street bigger than ever.
