Toad with a balloon stuck in its bottom helped by caring resident
A toad that was found with a balloon stuck in its bottom was helped by caring residents.
The amphibian had a green rubber dangling out of its bottom, so it was taken by a worried local who helped remove it in Sa Kaeo province, Thailand, on November 24.
Footage shows the weak toad, which is believed to have eaten the balloon, as the house owner pulled the foreign object from its backside. The animal's stomach visibly turned smaller afterward and became livelier with relief as it was released.
While a toad could potentially pass some waste, the cumulative effects over time combined with the hazards of trash can result in sickness, injury, metabolic failure or disability that is life-threatening in the wild.
