Tonnes of live fish were scattered along a motorway when a driver lost control of his lorry, causing it to overturn in India.

Footage shows the fish flapping on the concrete ground as motorists passed by in the town of Wanaparthy, Telangana, in the early hours of February 6.

A lorry suddenly overturned while moving along the road, leading to the dispersion of the cargo in its vicinity.

Many of the fish were then crushed by other vehicles travelling on the motorway.
