Residents in Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu, were started as they spotted a crocodile roaming inside their home.

Abdul Rasheed called the local forest department after finding the 8-foot-long reptile inside his house.

The croc weighing 110kg was captured by officials and released back into the nearby Vakkaramari lake.

The Vakkaramari lake near Chidambaram in Tamil Nadu has a large number of crocodiles. Sometimes crocodiles come out from here and enter residential areas.

A crocodile entered the house of Abdul Rasheed in Nanjalur village near Chidambaram this morning. When they woke up, they were shocked to see a crocodile inside the house and informed the forest department. The forest department staffs rushed to the spot and safely caught the crocodile that entered near the house. The captured crocodile was about 8 feet long and weighed 110 kg. Later crocodile was released into the lake where it came from.
