Truck's Terrifying Slide on Icy I-80 in Truckee, CA, USA
This footage was filmed and produced 6 February 2024.
The video, captured on a dashcam, shows a truck sliding on the snowy road on I-80 and nearly hitting the wall on the side of the road as a small but fast-moving storm hit the summit, bringing snow and ice to the roadway.
Multiple big rig spinouts on the 60-mile stretch of I-80 eastbound have forced traffic to be held at Castle Peak, causing a bit of a mess on the roadway. Westbound I-80 at the Donner Lake Interchange has also implemented chain control to ensure the safety of all drivers.
