Cop performs CPR to save woman's life in southern India

Timely action by a policeman helped save the life of a woman after she had suffered a cardiac arrest in southern India's Telangana.

This incident happened in Mahabubnagar on February 8.

Visuals showed the cop performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) on the woman in a bid to revive her. The policeman performed quick chest compressions and his repeated effort finally yielded fruit with the woman showing signs of some life eventually. A crowd had gathered around as this incident happened with the cop's prompt action saving the lady's life.

The lady, as per a report, was identified as Yadamma and she had collapsed on the road after suffering a cardiac arrest, at around 9:30 pm IST (Indian Standard Time). Govardhan and Venkat Kumar, personnel of the Bomb Disposal squad immediately rushed to her help after spotting this. The woman regained her consciousness and began to breathe after CPR was successfully performed. Her family was subsequently informed about this incident.
