This is the moment crew of a fishing boat that sank off the Spanish coast was rescued by coast guards.

The 14 sailors were onboard the 'Maria Reina Madre' vessel to catch fish off Guipuzcoa when a leak sprang on their vessel and caused it to sink on February 10.

The Salvamento Maritimo and the Civil Guard received a distress call and deployed the helicopter Helimer 211 to conduct the rescue.

All of the crew were successfully rescued 'in good condition.'

The Government Delegation in the Basque Country said the boat had completely sunk in the Cantabrian Sea, 10 miles northwest of Hondarribia, in French territorial waters.
