A popular century-old Chinese cafe in Bangkok, Thailand, has announced it is closing for relocation.

The Nam Tao Thong cafe, which sits in the Yaowarat area of the capital's Chinatown, will move to Wongwian 22 in Bangkok.

The shop was opened in 1901 and became known for its signature bitter tonics and herbal teas or 'liong cha', said to invigorate those who drink it.

The shop has since expanded its product range and now offers other items like medicinal supplements and sweet beverages. Among its popular offerings are chrysanthemum tea, Chinese herbal tea, tiger herbal juice, and Indian gooseberry juice.

Nam Tao Thong is open daily from 8 am to 8 pm.
