In a daring logistical operation, the Election Commission (KPU) of Indonesia successfully distributed election materials for the 2024 elections to four remote and isolated villages in the West Coast District of Lampung. The villages of Bandar Dalam, Way Haru, Way Tias, and Siring Gading, located in the Bengkunat sub-district, received essential election supplies despite their challenging terrain.

Led by a convoy of personnel from the Indonesian Military (TNI) and National Police (POLRI), the delivery journeyed through dense forests of the Bukit Barisan Selatan National Park, along coastal shores, and across six river mouths. The use of traditional ox carts ensured the delivery reached its destination, overcoming the absence of proper road access.

This extraordinary effort highlights Indonesia's commitment to ensuring all citizens have the opportunity to participate in the democratic process, even in the most challenging and remote locations. Stay tuned for further updates on the unfolding preparations for the upcoming elections.
