Niebla is a coastal town in the Region of Los Rios, Chile, located in the commune of Valdivia. It is located at the mouth of Valdivia River, 17 km southwest of the same name, opposite the port of Corral.
Niebla is the most important resort in the area, with beautiful beaches and good restaurants specializing in seafood.

Fort Niebla (called "Castle of the Pure and Clean Conception of Monfort de Lemus") is one of the strongest fortifications of Valdivia system that was built in the seventeenth century in the estuary of the Valdivia River. It was erected in the middle of the century by the army that the Viceroy of Peru sent in order to refound the city of Valdivia and raise a defensive complex in its coast. By 1960, 22 May at 15 hours, all of southern Chile shaken by the 1960 Valdivia earthquake of 9.5 degrees on the Richter scale. In the Bay of Corral (Corral and Niebla to specify) the biggest waves of this tidal wave or tsunami, about 12 m in height were formed.

Fog beaches are three, from south to north: Playa Chica, Playa Grande and Lovers Beach. Further north are the towns of Los Molinos, Caleta Bonifacio, Pilolcura, San Ignacio, Playa Rosada, La Mission, Calfuco, Curiñanco and Los Pellines.
