The video shows a Russian soldier purportedly destroying Ukrainian aircraft using a 9K35 Strela-10 short-range surface-to-air missile system.

A Russian soldier operating the missile system can be seen firing towards unseen targets flying above the defence line, allegedly in the area of Donetsk, in Ukraine's Donetsk Oblast, on February 12.

Russia's Ministry of Defence said in a statement: 'The capabilities of the mobile complex allow for effective counteraction against low-flying targets with small effective scattering area.'

It continued: 'Among the unmanned aerial vehicles destroyed by the anti-aircraft gunners recently are the UAVs of the UkrainianArmed Forces, such as the 'Leleka-100', 'Valkyrie', as well as various quadcopter-typeUAVs.'

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, in what the Kremlin is still calling a 'special military operation'.
