The footage captures Russian tank crews allegedly eliminating Ukrainian targets from hidden firing positions.

The purported attack was carried out after Russian aerial reconnaissance recorded the movement of a group of Ukrainian soldiers in the area of Kupyansk, in Kharkiv Oblast, Ukraine, on February 12.

Undetected, the Russian team then allegedly executed multiple attacks on the positions held by the Ukrainian units.

The Ukrainian strongholds were allegedly destroyed within minutes, prompting them to retreat.

Russia's Ministry of Defence said in a statement: 'Tank crews are destroying enemy armoured vehicles and personnel at the frontline, thereby supporting the actions of Russian advance units.

'Additionally, enemy rear positions come under attack, disrupting their offensive actions.

'Among the crews, there are many who volunteered to join the front line. Volunteers quickly mastered the combat vehicles and now demonstrate high performance.'

A tank mechanic codenamed 'Rostov' said: 'The task must be completed, the vehicle must be serviced and always ready for action.

'There is no such thing as 'I don't feel like it because it's cold,' or 'I don't feel like it because it's raining' - you have to go and fulfill the tasks.'

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, in what the Kremlin is still calling a 'special military operation'.
