The video shows Russian artillery units purportedly destroying Ukrainian soldiers with multiple rocket launchers while they were changing their positions.

The alleged attack, carried out by troops from the 58th Guards Combined Arms Army from Russia's Southern Military District (SMD) took place in the area of Zaporizhzhia, in Zaporizhzhia Oblast, Ukraine, on February 12.

Russia's Ministry of Defence said in a statement: 'Taking advantage of the adverse weather conditions, Ukrainian nationalists attempted to rotate their personnel in the Zaporizhzhiadirection.

'However, the reconnaissance assets of the SMD detected this attempt by the Ukrainian Armed Forces and transmitted the coordinates of the target to the 'roaming' calculation of the Tornado-G multiple launch rocket system [MLRS].'

Squad commander Bryansk said: 'The combat vehicle is equipped with an automated targeting and aiming system, which significantly simplifies and speeds up the execution of the fire task.

'This means that the time for opening fire on the target from both prepared and unprepared firing positions is reduced. It also provides convenience for the crewmembers.'

Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022, in what the Kremlin is still calling a 'special military operation'.
