Gas explosion causes severe damage in China’s residential area On the morning of February 13th, a gas explosion occurred in the Xingtai, northern China. Video footage from the scene shows severe damage to building walls, fallen window frames, shattered glass, and vehicles below affected by the blast, creating a scene of chaos.

The same day, staff from the Xingtai Emergency Management Bureau stated that relevant department leaders and personnel from various departments had rushed to the scene for rescue efforts, while the accident is suspected to have been caused by a gas leak and the extent of casualties were under investigation.
