Grossi during a discussion at the World Summit of Governments in Dubai, UAE
This footage was filmed and produced 13 February 2024.
The Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, stressed that the dialogue remains open with Iran, but stressed the need for nuclear activities to be under the scrutiny of the international inspection body urging the country to comply with its obligations under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty.
"We believe in diplomacy, not bombing. But for that to happen, we need our inspectors to be allowed to do their job. History, and recent history in this region, shows that when they begin to cut off access to international inspectors, the story usually does not end well. I think we need to ensure that this cooperation prevails," Grossi said during a discussion at the World Summit of Governments (WSG) in Dubai.
