STORYLINE:

In successive statements, Hezbollah media unit said on Tuesday it has successfully attacked groups of soldiers in the Mattat barracks, al-Marj post and the Hunin fortress near Margaliot. The group also targeted surveillance equipment in Hadb Yarin and a police building in Kiryat Shmona.

On the other hand, the Israeli army on Tuesday morning fired heavy-caliber machineguns at al-Labbouneh, al-Naqoura and Alma al-Shaab.

The Israeli air force also raided during the day the border towns of Ramia, Yarin, Yaroun, Shihin, Jabal Blat, Markaba, Mays al-Jabal, Aitaroun, and Houla.

Amal movement, the Shiite group headed by Lebanon's Speaker Nabih Berri engaged in the confrontation with Israel and announced that it has lost two of its militants during the exchange of fire with the Israeli army.

Last week, the movement organized an official funeral of the militants killed during action attended by senior officials of the movement and MP's.

Since Hamas launched the Al Aqsa Flood operation on Oct. 7, 2023, the situation across the Lebanese-Israeli border has seen heavy exchange of fire between Hezbollah and the Israeli army.
