On Monday, February 12, 2024, the Alameda County Fire Department (ACFD) swiftly responded to a devastating fire at a residence on Palm Drive in Union City. The emergency call came in at 10:47 a.m., prompting the dispatch of five engines, a truck, and several apparatus to the scene. The dedicated crew members worked tirelessly for over two hours to combat the blaze.
Tragically, two adults and a beloved pet dog were displaced as a result of the fire. The Red Cross has stepped in to assist these individuals in securing temporary shelter. Miraculously, there were no serious injuries reported in connection with the incident.
