Citizens in Indonesia gather to cast their ballots to elect a president and parliamentary representatives.

Footage taken today (Wednesday 14 February) in Bukik Lampasa, Bukittinggi city, West Sumatra province, shows people queuing outside a school classroom used as a polling station to elect a new president.

Three presidential candidates are running, a former army general and two former governors. Some 20,000 other members of national and provincial parliaments were also elected.

Presidential candidate number 01, former Jakarta governor Anies Baswedan. Then number 02 Prabowo Subianto, a former army general and current defence minister, is running for president for the third time. Candidate number 03, Ganjar Pranowo of the ruling Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle, has served two terms as governor of Central Java.
