The National Police are arrest alleged drug dealers in Lima, Peru
This footage was filmed and produced 14 February 2024.
Footage shows Peruvian National Police arresting alleged drug dealers. One of the policeman was dressed as a teddy bear during Valentine's Day in Lima.
This is the moment a real-life Cocaine Bear dressed as a giant teddy seizes a suspected drug dealer in a bizarre Valentine's Day bust.
The ambush arrest happened when detectives in Lima, Peru, dreamed up a way to lure the female narcotics boss out of her drugs lab and into the open.
Police video footage of the raid shows the undercover officer dressed in a huge teddy bear costume carrying a heart balloon and a box of chocs.
As the delighted suspect emerges, he goes down on one knee holding up the treats while she walks towards him.
But as soon as she gets close enough, he rips off his teddy head and pins her to the ground as other officers move in for the raid.
Further video footage shows officers pulling out rolls of what appears to be cocaine wrapped in waterproof plastic bags from drains outside the property.
Bizarrely, as the officer escorts the handcuffed suspect to a police pickup truck he puts his teddy head back on showing off its pink bow and long eyelashes.
The footage ends with the cop turning into a huggy bear as he cuddles a second suspect in handcuffs next to a banner reading: "You Are My Reason To Smile".
