My (Marcie Callewaert) initial reaction to finding my wallet washed up on the beach, near where I lost it in 20ft of water, 8 months ago. This is on an island offshore of Tofino BC on the west coast of Vancouver Island.
I lost my wallet overboard when climbing into our boat from the canoe at our anchor bouy. I heard the splash but didn't register that it was my wallet until I got into town and went to pay for dinner at a takeout restaurant. The pocket I keep my wallet in was empty! I then realized what the splash was, and even as the sun was setting, was trying to arrange a diver to go look for it as soon as possible. The diver was unsuccessful, but 8 months later, the winter wind and waves pulled it up from the waves and brought in into the beach where I found it in the high tide line!
