In a high-stakes operation, the Maglan and Egoz Units of the Commando Brigade are deep in the heart of western Khan Yunis, navigating narrow alleyways, engaging in close-quarters combat, and facing sniper fire from Hamas operatives. This operation is part of ongoing efforts to eliminate threats and dismantle extremist infrastructure in the region.

The forces on the ground are making significant progress, clearing Hamas hideouts, seizing weapons caches, and neutralizing enemies in intense close-quarters combat situations. Multiple operatives have been killed, and many others have been apprehended, including individuals linked to previous attacks and members of the notorious Nukhba group.

Recent targeted raids conducted by IDF forces have focused on combat positions strategically located within civilian residences belonging to the families of senior Hamas leaders. Additionally, the soldiers have successfully destroyed numerous targets associated with Hamas infrastructure, with aerial support from the Divisional Fire Control Center leading to the striking of around one thousand Hamas-related targets from the air.
