Police officers pull out stolen mobile phones from women's bags, shorts and bra in Sao Paulo, Brazil on Saturday, Feb. 10, 2024. In total, police seized 55 devices that day.

Police video footage from the busts in Sao Paulo shows one woman alone had 22 smartphones crammed in a bumbag and down her knickers.

The thefts reportedly took place during the city's carnival on 10th February when thousands crammed into the city centre to celebrate.

Police say that they arrested seven people and recovered 55 mobile phones.

Local media reported that in another search police found one suspect aged 19 carrying 71 stolen bank cards.
