In an official statement, the Baton Rouge Fire Department reported that crews, alongside the St. George Fire Department, were responding to a fire incident on the 8000 block of Goodwood Blvd. Luckily, there were no reported injuries at the time of the statement, but residents were urged to avoid the area as emergency responders worked to contain the blaze.

After a few hours, the Baton Rouge Fire Department provided an update to the public, announcing that the fire had been successfully brought under control. The diligent efforts of the fire crews resulted in the containment of the blaze without any reported casualties.
