A woman had to be rescued by firefighters after her hand became stuck in a noodlepress machine while preparing the dough.

The unidentified woman was reportedly preparing some homemade noodles at her home in the town of Yantai in Shandong, China, on February 12.

However, while pushing the raw dough through the noodle press, her left hand was accidentally stuck inside.

Desperate after not being able to pull her hand out no matter how hard she tried, she instead called the local fire department for aid.

Firefighters arrived at the scene and used an angle grinder to cut through the metal machine. Then, with the help of a pry bar, they cautiously dismantled the noodlepress.

Finally, they were able to successfully free the trapped hand. The woman was taken to hospital to be treated for the injuries.
