In a dramatic turn of events on the evening of February 16th, fire crews rushed to the scene of a residential fire where a quick response and heroic actions helped prevent a disastrous outcome. The fire broke out at a residence, quickly spreading to the garage before being contained and extinguished by the hardworking firefighters on site.

Although the cause of the fire is still under investigation, fire crews are expected to remain on the scene for approximately two hours as they work to determine the source and ensure the area is safe. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported in connection with the incident, providing a small silver lining amidst the chaos.

One off-duty Oxnard firefighter, who happened to be in the area at the time, sprang into action by assisting the homeowners out of the house and ensuring that the door between the garage and the house was closed.
