Teacher releases stray dog stuck in school stairs handrail
A caring teacher released a stray dog that was stuck in the school stairs handrail.
Channarong Prasertsung was having a class when a pupil called him for help to save a crying dog by the staircase in Sakon Nakhon Province, Thailand, on February 14.
Footage shows teacher Channarong setting a good example to the kids and tying tape around the pooch in distress' mouth to keep it from biting during the rescue mission.
He then carefully pulled the dog's body out of the structure despite the canine resisting before successfully freeing it.
The teacher said: ‘It happened at Ban Khamsanen School where I worked. We were at class doing Valentine's Day activity when a student ran to me asking for assistance for the dog.
‘I saw the dog was frightened and could bite in self-defence, so I put a mouth first around its mouth.
‘The dog was owned by a student and followed the kid to school but was stuck.'
The children cheered when the pooch Kham Koon was released while the teacher sought the help of a guard to help return the pooch safely home.
