Students staged a naked protest in an annual tradition to oppose the constitutional change in the Philippines.

Footage shows the youngsters, members of the fraternity Alpha Phi Omega, with their heads covered in black cloth and holding out placards to a crowd of spectators at the University of the Philippines in Manila on February 16.

Their backs were turned and showed only their buttocks from the view of the onlooker who captured them from the school building balcony.

The fratmen did a short dance at the yearly event called ‘Oblation Run' and raised the cardboards, which criticized the efforts to amend the 1987 Constitution.

One of them was also carried by his friends and did a pose mimicking the statue Oblation, a concrete statue inside the campus grounds made by a Filipino national artist depicting a man facing upward with arms outstretched.

The 'Oblation Run' is an annual event held at the University of the Philippines where students run naked around the campus to protest issues or express freedom.

Today's runs protest various national issues like government corruption, workers' rights, tuition hikes, reproductive health policy - or even localised campus concerns.
