A moped rider attempted to steal a pedestrian's phone before they collided with a cyclist during their hurried escape.

Captured outside London Bridge station on February 20 by a cyclist, the footage shows the moped rider driving along the pavement before appearing to reach out at a pedestrian's mobile.

During their frantic escape, the moped driver veered onto the road and knocked a cyclist off their bike before speeding off down Tooley Street.

The cyclist who captured this footage told Newsflare: "I was cycling along past London Bridge station where I encountered a moped mount the pavement and target a passenger waiting at the bus stop for their phone.

"While making a hurried getaway they collided with a cyclist as they went back out onto the road."
