Four individuals have been detained – two of whom are currently in prison - for their involvement in a criminal group dedicated to stealing ATMs using crane trucks that were stolen in advance. They would dress in reflective vests and protective gear resembling construction or maintenance workers to go unnoticed while committing the thefts. The suspects face charges related to 19 criminal incidents, with law enforcement conducting five simultaneous searches leading to the discovery of materials used in vehicle theft, ATM parts, slings, and the work attire used during the crimes.

Following the successful operation supervised by the Alcala de Henares Court, the detainees face charges including membership in a criminal group, six ATM thefts, seven vehicle thefts, two license plate thefts, document falsification, and assaulting a law enforcement officer. Two members are currently in custody after appearing before the judiciary.
