A terrifying power bank explosion on a flight forced an emergency landing in Hong Kong on February 19th.

A passenger's power bank led to a mid-air explosion, filling the cabin with smoke and prompting an emergency landing in Hong Kong. Swift action from airport firefighters and emergency response teams prevented any injuries.

Witnesses reported that the explosion occurred when a passenger violated safety regulations by using a power bank to charge an iPad, resulting in a sudden burst of flames and smoke in the front section of the aircraft.

Despite the chaos, the crew successfully managed the situation, and the flight eventually landed safely in Shanghai, albeit significantly delayed.
