Home flooded with sewage water after Lunar New Year holiday in China
The astonishing video shows a woman finding herself in ankle-deep sewage water after she returned home from a trip.
The clip recorded in the city of Jinhua in Zhejiang, China, shows sewage water pouring out of a clogged pipe attached to the kitchen sink on February 16.
The recording further depicted water gushing into every corner of the house, reportedly filling the air with an unbearable smell.
It allegedly happened while the female homeowner was away from home on an 11-day-long Lunar New Year holiday.
She said: 'I went with my husband to his hometown for the Lunar New Year.
'When we came back, we saw that the house was flooded with water. The reason was that the main sewer pipe in the kitchen was blocked.
'The three main wells outside were all full. The water kept flowing upstairs and flooded our house.
'We asked the property management company about this and whether the reparation would be their responsibility.
'However, they said they can only pay part of the compensation due to community insurance.
'My family did not buy house insurance and renovated the house.
'It was only about seven years ago that the whole house was custom-made with solid wood boards, and all of them were flooded up to six centimetres [2.36 inches].
'The door to the room could no longer be closed, and all the cabinet doors fell off due to humidity.'
