Chaos erupts on Ryanair flight from Edinburgh to Tenerife as fighting passengers broken up by Spanish police
Chaos erupted on a Ryanair flight from Edinburgh to Tenerife as a couple of passengers who throwing punches had to be broken up by Spanish police.
Footage recorded by Hannah @twotaboo4you on February 19 shows two male passengers angrily squaring up to each other whilst shouting. Staff are seen trying to get the fighting passengers to return to their seats.
A blonde woman then gets involved seeing tensions boil over with punches being thrown.
The filmer told Newsflare about their flight from hell: "They were all sat near the front obviously drinking a lot and some older ladies next to them had asked if they could stop swearing so much and be a bit quieter.
"Then the blonde girl kicked off big time and started to threaten the ladies saying they would have them killed when we landed in Tenerife.
"And from what I'm aware of her boyfriend's brother told her to shut up and then she went absolutely mental at him and they started to argue, then her boyfriend got involved and hit his brother.
"Then they all got separated including the older woman and moved the brother closer to us you can see in my video. When I spoke to the ladies they were both extremely shaken up and scared as originally the flight attendants had said they weren't going to involve the police and proceeded to serve them another round of drinks after the alteration.
"Then as the flight went on the blonde girl was just screaming abuse up to the brother for the majority of the flight and climbing over the seats to her other friends like a wild animal.
"When the landing announcement was made that's when it all kicked off big time.
"She screamed something that set her boyfriend's brother off and he got up and started shouting back at her then the boyfriend got up and the brothers started arguing as you can see in my video the boyfriend then gave his brother a 'Glasgow kiss' and then the girl also attacked him and punched someone else on the flight.
"Any other passengers who tried to stop them got threatened also. The police did get called in the end as there was no calming the situation, (it took 30 minutes for them to arrive meanwhile we all had to stay on the flight and listen to the kick-off for longer).
"The crew were unable to control them and the pilot stayed in his cockpit until the end. However, as soon as the police arrived the girl piped down and started to behave like a victim who had done nothing wrong. We all had to wait on the flight until they escorted them off the flight.
"I would have thought they'd all be sent home but the couple has been seen in a bar on the island so it seems they have gotten away with such outrageous behaviour, I am not sure about the brother but if one of them got blamed they should all be blamed and should not be only pinned on him, however they were all vile.
"I think they were definitely on something as it was like they were on a different planet. There were all different nationalities on the flight and were all mortified, it's people like this that give Scotland a bad name."
