More than 29,000 Palestinians have died in the Gaza Strip since the war between Israel and Hamas began, the Gaza Health Ministry said Monday.
The ministry said 107 bodies were transferred to hospitals in the past 24 hours. That brought the total death toll to 29,092 since the start of the war.
The ministry does not distinguish between civilians and fighters in its counts, but says most of the dead were women and children.
The agency is part of the Hamas government in Gaza, but keeps detailed records of the dead. Its figures in previous wars in Gaza have generally matched those of U.N. agencies and even Israel.
