This footage was filmed and produced 20 February 2024.

On February 20th, 2024, Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety officers were called to the area of Prouty and N. Park St. for a two-car vehicle crash. The crash occurred when one of the vehicles failed to stop at a stop sign, leading to a collision.

Thankfully, no one suffered serious injuries in the incident. However, due to the significant damage and precarious positioning of the vehicles, KDPS Fire Apparatus had to be called in to stabilize the vehicles and extricate the occupants. Using Rescue 42 jacks and 'jaws of life' tools, officers were able to remove the doors and free the trapped occupants.

Both adult occupants were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
