The Ministry of National Defense announced that search and rescue operations on the cargo ship named 'Batuhan A' are continuing with the efforts of the First Class Diver (BSD) Specialized personnel diving from the TCG AKIN rescue ship.

In a statement on the Ministry of National Defense's social media account, it was reported that the search and rescue operations on the cargo ship 'Batuhan A' are continuing. Specialized personnel dived from the TCG AKIN rescue ship are conducting searches in the ship's compartments.

A total of 1085 hours and 40 minutes of search was conducted at sea
The search for the 4 missing crew members of the sunken 'BATUHAN A' cargo ship, which sank off the coast of Bursa's Karacabey district, south-west of Imralı Island, continues on its 7th day. A total of 1085 hours and 40 minutes of search was conducted at sea from February 15th, when the ship sank, until February 20th.

A total of 1687 hours of search from sea, air, and land
Since the ship 'BATUHAN A' sank, a total of 64 different elements were used in the search and rescue efforts, totaling 1687 hours and 7 minutes.

In today's operations, a Coast Guard plane will scan the northern coastline of the Kapıdag Peninsula, while Emniyet Genel Mudurlugu's vertical take-off and landing Cloud-Sub unmanned aerial vehicle (BİHA) UCBEY VTOL will conduct surface searches in the search and rescue area. The Coastal Safety General Directorate's Nene Hatun, Kıyem 5, Kıyem 4, and Tahlisiye 11 boats will also conduct search and rescue operations on the south and southwest coastlines.
