This is the dramatic moment dozens of beer bottles were smashed to pieces when thick icicles from the drain pipe above the crates came crashing down.

CCTV cameras positioned outside a streetside restaurant in Jixi in Heilongjiang, China, captured the moment a man carrying crates of beer narrowly dodged the crushing ice.

In the video of the incident, which occurred at around 2:00 pm on February 13, the unnamed man could be seen carrying away one of the beer crates, stacked outside the restaurant.

Just seconds later, he was stunned by the sound of dozens of glass bottles shattering behind him after the warm weather loosed the ice in the drainage pipe above them and caused it to pour down.

Thankfully, aside from the destroyed bottles which appeared to be empty, no one was harmed.
