Vilnius Book Fair 2024 kicked off on Thursday in the Lithuanian capital Vilnius, attracting some 300 exhibitors from Lithuania, Poland, Latvia, Spain, and many other countries.
This year's highlights at the four-day event will be discussions on the future of books and the impact of artificial intelligence on literature.
Over 500 events will take place in five halls of the exhibition center, ranging from meetings with authors to discussions on key public issues and concerts.
About 50,000 participants are expected at the fair this year. At the book fair, readers will have the opportunity to be the first to buy the latest books of Lithuanian and foreign writers and get an autograph of the writer.
The annual book fair is one of the largest book fairs in the Baltic region. This year's book fair runs from Thursday to Sunday.
