A car skidding on an icy road hit a traffic officer in eastern China.

Terrifying dashcam video filmed in Suzhou City in Jiangsu Province on February 23, shows an on duty traffic police officer being knocked over by a skidding vehicle due to icy road conditions caused by rain.

The car nearly spun 180 degrees before striking the officer.

Following the incident, three passersby stopped to check on the fallen officer and promptly dialled emergency services.

Witnesses reported that the accident occurred on Wudong Expressway, with the injured officer being hit by the rear end of the skidding car. Suzhou authorities responded, assuring that the injured officer has been hospitalised but is not in critical condition.
