NATO's largest exercise in decades, Steadfast Defender 2024, has brought together 90,000 personnel from 31 Allies and partner nation Sweden to test the Alliance's new regional defence plans. With forces practicing rapid deployment and combat in Norway and Poland, Allies are showcasing their ability to command and control large ground, air, and sea forces over significant distances.

The exercise, which coincides with the training event Joint Warrior, allows for Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) members, NATO, and partner nations to participate in collective training. Additionally, NATO's rapid response forces, led by the United Kingdom, are participating in exercise Brilliant Jump 24 in Poland, preparing to defend against a simulated adversary in a collective defence scenario.
