A woman's rendition of Britney Spears' "Baby One More Time" during karaoke at a resort in the Dominican Republic has gone viral with more than 8 million views on social media.

Mae posted the video of herself singing at a resort in El Limón to TikTok. where users praised her confidence.

"I am CONVINCED karaoke is all about the energy because you KILLED this," one said.

Another commented: "Holding the mic in the air like a huge concert. I love this sm."

Mae told Newsflare: "It was Karaoke night at an all-inclusive resort during my family vacation. None of my family would do karaoke with me, so I had to take it into my own hands.

I know the song 'Baby One More Time' by heart, it's my go-to karaoke song. The crowd at this resort was mostly older folks, but I knew I could make it fun.

"Everyone was having a great time with me and a few people sang along although I don't think many of them knew the lyrics.

Also, my family was shocked! I've always loved having fun with karaoke, but I've never done this song for my family or in front of a large group of retirees until this! I had the best time and would do it again in a heartbeat."
