A murder investigation has been launched after a person was killed at Harold Wood station in east London on February 27.

Footage shows officers setting up a police cordon around the station.

Police were called to the station at 4:30 am after a member of staff reported a person was badly injured and lying on the floor. The person was pronounced dead at the scene.

A police cordon remains in place at Harold Wood station today, and the station still remains closed following the tragic death of a man. Detectives have launched a murder investigation after the individual was fatally stabbed in an during the early hours.

Shortly after 4:30am, officers were called to the station by a member of staff who reported a badly injured person lying on the platform.

Emergency services rushed to the scene and found the individual with significant injuries. Despite valiant efforts, they were sadly pronounced dead at the location. A male has been arrested in connection with the incident.

He is currently in police custody while inquiries progress. Investigators are treating the incident as isolated.
