Springboard collapse at 'Battle of the Tour' competition in Tyumen, Russia
In an unexpected turn of events during the "Battle of the Tour" competition in Tyumen, Russia, on February 25, 2024, a springboard collapsed while participants were taking a group photo to mark the end of the competition. The championship organizer, Ivan Shmonin, reported that the incident occurred as the group climbed onto the hollow springboard, causing it to collapse a meter down. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, and Shmonin mentioned that everyone reacted positively and cheerfully to the incident. The collapse was attributed to the springboard's inability to withstand the weight of the participants.
