Protesters clashed with police in Thessaloniki on February 28, one year since a train crash in Tempi killed 57.

Tear gas, flash bangs, and Molotov cocktails were thrown as violent clashes erupted in the city.

Protesters blame the deadly crash on an unsafe rail system and official failings.

Clashes started outside the main train station of Thessaloniki. Groups of protesters hurled stones, paint and molotov cocktails at the police forces, who used chemicals and threw flash-bangs.
