On the evening of February 25th, at the Wuhan subway station, a female passenger lost her balance and fell backward on the escalator. A male passenger behind her struggled to hold her up, but despite his efforts, both were on the verge of falling on the moving staircase. Subway staff member Zhu Qiongjing spotted the situation and dashed forward.

Despite falling twice along the way, she finally knelt down, crawled to the emergency stop button, and pressed it. The entire process took just 5 seconds, averting a potentially greater danger. Due to the timely intervention, the fallen passenger was uninjured and left the scene on her own.

According to Zhu Qiongjing, she was guiding passengers on the opposite platform at the time and wasn't near the escalator. However, she keenly noticed the danger and rushed over immediately, even though she fell twice due to the swift and forceful movement. Her actions were instinctive, driven by the urge to stop the escalator as quickly as possible. After confirming the passenger's safety, she felt her legs weaken and the pain from the falls, forcing her to sit down briefly to recover.
