Deputies Rescue Missing 5-Year-Old with Autism in Tampa Wilderness, USA

In a heartwarming turn of events, deputies from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) successfully located a missing 5-year-old with autism, thanks to the quick response of the HCSO Aviation Unit.
On February 26, at approximately 5:10 p.m., authorities received a call reporting a missing child who had wandered away from her home on Windbrush Drive in Tampa. Dispatching the Aviation Unit for assistance, deputies utilized thermal imaging cameras to scan the area.
The child was eventually spotted near a body of water in a nearby wooded area. Ground deputies were promptly directed to her location and safely recovered her without any injuries, as confirmed by HCSO.
